Who is Rainford Band?
The Rainford Band is Merseyside's Premier Brass Band, who have been delivering outstanding musical performances in the heart of our community, and beyond, for 50 years.
We're a friendly, ambitious and community-focused band, committed to not only delivering outstanding music, but making a meaningful impact beyond the stage. Whether we're performing to local audiences, representing our area in competitive events or supporting the next generation of musicians, we take pride in every note we play.
With a rich history and a forward-thinking approach, we bring together passionate musicians, who are dedicated to creating music that inspires, entertains and connects.
Our History
Rainford Band was founded in 1976. Since then, we've been entertaining audiences and securing competitive victories in our local region and beyond.
1976
Members of the local Boys' Brigade Band came together with a vision to create a new brass band for Rainford.
Led by Alf Webster, Tony Brown, David Roughley and Ken Wesley, Rainford Band
was born.
